New year, new light.

Sometimes all you can do is look at something.

To light. Happy solstice.

Three wise men.

Where do you get your wisdom from?
The rush of the sea, or the setting sun?

Hibernation preparation. Have you found your cave yet?

This is also December.

Sometimes the shadow of coming night
makes it so much easier to see the light

Where the ideas slip through.

And if the cages we perceive
are merely shadows on the ground
what might we find
as we look around

A world no longer
fencing us in
a newfound strength
conquering what has been

So this is Summer
Some of the time
A slanting light
A racing mind
A puff of air
On warm pine breeze
Salted skin
And lingering sea
...

Inside looking outside looking in

Go now and fly
Into an evening sun
Go now and fly
Into all that may come
The layers are deep
But they're all clearly seen
A place where we keep
All that has been
Can melt away
Into a sky so bold
So that when we sway
We learn to take hold
To the grass
